Pairc an t-Srath Guest House - Covid Measures

The safety and health of our team, guests and family is our main priority. As such and in line with Scottish Government Guidelines we have put strict Covid-19 measures in place to make your stay as safe as possible.

Returning guests will notice some changes but the warm welcome remains.

Payment- We will ask for full payment of your stay to be made by bank transfer at least 2 days before your arrival date. If you are unable to do a bank transfer we can send a payment link to you via your mobile.

Checkin-If you already know what time you will be arriving for check in please let us know. Otherwise we will call you the day before to arrange a mutually convenient time. Please advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep to the agreed time. This is so we can stagger check-in and maintain social distancing between guests.

Arrival- We will operate a one way system. Entry will be through the back door and exit through the front door.

Our guest lounge and communal bathroom/sauna is not in use.

Communal areas- unless you are exempt from wearing one we would ask guests to please wear a face covering when moving around the communal areas of the house. Please also adhere to social distancing wherever possible. Only 1 family group permitted in the front porch at ay one time and please be considerate at the stair way.

House Keeping We will not be carrying out daily housekeeping of the rooms. If however there is anything specifically you require or there is any issues with anything in the room we will of course assist. Your room will be cleaned to the highest standard before you arrive. All surfaces will have been cleaned and sanitised using products tested to EN 14476. Particular attention will have been paid to high touch points such as door/drawer/wardrobe handles, hairdryers, kettle, taps, light and lamp switches, room key etc. Duvets and pillows are changed between guests and all mattress, pillow and duvet protectors are changed over too. Mattresses, carpet and curtains will have been hoovered and sprayed with disinfectant. We hope this will reassure you that your room is safe for your arrival. If you have any concerns or questions please call us to discuss them.

Soft furnishings – cushions and throws in the rooms have been removed.

Our small Arran Aromatics shampoo, conditioner and body lotion will not be in the room as usual. These are still available however so please let us know if you would like them.

Breakfast – Orders will be taken the night before and there will be no self service.

In room Tea Tray- A kettle and cups will be in the room. Please ask us for teabags, coffee, sugar, milk etc if you wish to make use of the tea tray.

Smoking- there is a no smoking policy inside the house. If you smoke please let us know and we can arrange an outdoor ashtray for you.

Hand Sanitiser- will be available in guest rooms, dining room, entrance and exit doors and other areas around the house. Guests are encouraged to use these.

Developing Covid-19 Symptoms- If you develop symptoms while staying with us you must advise us immediately. You must book a test through NHS Inform. If you can travel home safely to isolate, avoiding the use of public transport, you should do so. If this is not possible (eg involves a ferry) this should be discussed with the NHS Test and Protect Team. If the safest option is to remain in our accommodation you would be liable for the costs of an extended stay.

If we need to cancel your booking because of COVID-19-We may need to cancel your booking at short notice due to COVID-19 (e.g. for an outbreak on the island, return to lockdown, or the guests before you having to self-isolate). In such cases we will refund your booking or move your booking to another date if you prefer.

Local relationships are important to us and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; your thoughtfulness will help reassure them. We would urge all our guests to respect social distancing measures and hygiene protocols when using local services, as well as in the wider community generally.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Kind regards
Lena and Richard
